About this project

Quay Queens: Cultivating a Community is a 15 minute documentary highlighting all of the behind the scene hard work that goes into keeping this much needed snowsports focused group running. Quay Queens is a woman led, community based snowboard and ski group that prioritizes getting women and LGBTQ+ identifying people into the terrain park on skis and snowboards. In a very male dominated sport, it can be intimidating for many people to feel welcome, Quay Queens create a community for all different skill levels of riders, ensuring that they’re welcome everywhere on the ski hill. The documentary will serve as a look behind the curtain as its members work to create events, workshops, and affairs while also documenting their experiences within the club and the importance of the community they create.

As the documentary is still in post production, attached are 8 Instagram reels created for Quay Queens. These reels are intended to showcase the women who participate in the ride days, as well as the women working behind the scenes to make the ride days happen. The documentary will be completed April 16th.
