About this project
What is it about?
Chaos in all its forms takes over a rigid corporate workplace when a musical uprising arrives, led by H!CKEY. As she and her crew perform throughout the office, the employees initially remain indifferent — seemingly unbothered and unaware of the disruption around them.
However, beneath the surface, anxiety and pressure begins to build. What starts as subtle unease slowly becomes contagious, spreading from desk to desk until the entire office erupts into full-blown chaos.
While “CEO!” carries political undertones, the music video strives to explore these themes through fun and striking imagery. By juxtaposing sterile workplace culture with youthful, evocative, and rebellious energy, the music video visually questions social expectations and the systems that encourage conformity.
- [ ] Objectives:
1. Innovation: This inspired my team and myself to try something new and to push the creative box of not trying to recreate something that we’ve already seen before.
2. Creative synergy: By being open to my team’s ideas, I wanted to build a team that was invested in the project and who could help contribute to the collaborative environment of our project. By investing into the team’s ideas, they could therefore invest into the overall project.
3. Similar to the last point, by trusting other team members and their vision this would give them the space to excel with the right guidelines.
4. Lastly, pushing my creative vision forwards and stepping in when necessary to get the job done.
- [ ] Outcomes
1. By combining innovation with my team’s creativity, I’m really proud of what we created. By trusting the key creatives apart of this project, I feel like everyone had an important part of this project, and without their help, the project wouldn’t be what it is. A mix of creative energy and synergy always makes the value of the project and its team 10x better.
2. Despite having a tight schedule and running through challenges with my team, trusting each other’s vision while driving the project forwards was key during moments of uncertainty. Many team members took responsibility of the projects vision when making critical decisions for the team, and used trust to bring the team together. As the director I believe that I did a great job of trusting my team members, however I could have done a better job at trusting myself and my vision. This would have made it easier for my team to rely upon a director with a clear vision, versus someone who was taking everyone’s opinions to heart.
3. The overall outcome and deliverable was done by joint efforts and support on all fronts. I believe that this project was truly a collaborative effort which was the original objective of this project!
